It was a cloudy and slightly rainy day, when I accompanied my youngest son to the kindergarten. On my way back I liiked into the blue-gray sky and was reminded of my last art class that was about the contrast of bright and muted colors. Bright like my mandalas. Dull or grayish like the overcast sky. I imaginde how my mandala would interplay with the gray-blue cloud cover. Bright and dull. An uplifting and joyful splash of color in a dreary rainy day I thought. As it started to slightly drizzle I was hit by the inspiration of my mandala umbrella, my mandabrella.
I decided to approach an umbrella factory and dialed the number of the Swiss Umbrella Factory Strotz AG. With every negotiation I came a step closer th the manifestation of my idea...
Mandala means to me...
